Simplified, laser beams are strongly compacted and accordingly highly energetic light waves (coherent waves). With the help of these intensive light waves, a surface can be edited without reducing its mechanical strength.
With the aid of lenses and movable mirrors, the laser beam gets focused to 0,01mm on any material to be processed. During the process the laser beam can be moved in the x-y plane (two dimensional) which allows markings of any pattern. The vertical axis (z-plane) allows three dimensional patterns.
With the help of laser beams any metals, most plastics or similar materials can be marked.
Because of the precise dosage, its possible to remove layers of lacquer as thin as 10 µm without damaging any material below.
